Monica D. Davie
Grant & Program Director
Monica Davie holds a BA in Labor Studies and an M.Ed. in Organizational and Administrative Studies from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. With a professional career spanning nearly three decades, she has achieved success in higher education administration, community relations, fund development, case management, and occupational trades training and job placement.
Most recently, Monica has planned, developed, and implemented vocational and skilled trades training programs for various Detroit-based agencies and non-profits, both large and small. Her work as an adjunct professor at the community college level, where she teaches career and professional development, reflects her hands-on approach to building impactful programs that cater to the specific needs of trainees. She also provides wraparound services to support participants in securing and maintaining permanent employment with livable wages.
Monica has been an active member of The Rotary Club of Detroit for 15 years, supporting literacy, tutoring, community service, and youth scholarship initiatives. She received a Launch Detroit Micro Loan for Entrepreneurs and has presented at the Rotary International Zone Conference. She has served on the board of directors and chaired several committees within the Rotary Club of Detroit. Currently the President Nominee, she is set to serve as club president during the 2026-2027 Rotary Year. Additionally, Monica has been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for 15 years, where she previously served on the board of directors. She is also a member of the National Association of Women in Construction, Detroit Chapter.
The only child of two highly decorated, retired military parents, Monica has one married son and a teenage grandson. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, mentoring, reading, traveling, music, and golf.
